Future U.S. Secretary of Education John King, Jr. and NYC Councilmember Brad Lander provide federal, state, and local perspectives on the issue of school integration at the September conference of the National Coalition on School Diversity. New York Appleseed worked with Mr. King on New York State’s Socioeconomic Integration Pilot Program when he was Commissioner of Education and with Mr. Lander on the P.S. 133 student-assignment plan and the School Diversity Accountability Act.
