Mayor Bill de Blasio today signed the School Diversity Accountability Act — an important step forward for increased diversity in New York City public schools. “This is a step further in our efforts to ensure that our schools are as diverse as our city, and people of all communities work, live, learn together, and will ultimately play an important role in addressing the inequality gap in education, as well is in our society as a whole,” Mr. de Blasio said during the signing ceremony.
