Appleseed’s executive director, Nyah Berg, and Matt Gonzales, the director of the Education Justice Research and Organizing Collaborative (EJROC), write that NYC still hasn’t fixed the problem of school segregation in their recent op-ed. Over the past decade, NYC has been a leading example of how a school system of such a large size can begin to remedy segregation, yet the recent administration has tragically reversed course. But, as Berg and Gonzales explain in their article, the continuance of segregation in schools is a choice we make, and one that we have the tools to fix. Read their full op-ed here.
